New England Prenatal and Family Education
New England Prenatal and Family Education is the prenatal education offering of Lactation Services, LLC. We are UMass Memorial’s chosen provider of education for expecting women, new moms, their families and support persons. Lactation Services, LLC was founded in 2011 to provide Lactation Professionals to UMASS Memorial Hospitals Inpatient and NICU Moms.

FAQs
Will insurance pay for my class?
At this time we do not bill insurance companies directly, but many companies will offer reimbursement for prenatal education classes. You can link to our Resource page here to connect to reimbursement information for several popular insurance companies, or you can reach out to your own insurance company for detailed information about reimbursement.
How can I register for a hospital tour?
Tours of the UMass Memorial Maternity Unit are provided by the hospital's Maternity staff. They are available various days and times during the week and are offered free of charge. Please call 508-334-1387 to learn about available times and to schedule your tour.
Do you offer classes in languages other than English?
We only offer classes in English. However, Interpreter Services at UMass Memorial will provide interpreters to UMass patients only for any of our classes. The interpreter needs to be booked ahead of time, and you would need to facilitate this through your physician's office. Interpreters are available for any language.
